The SNP and SNS Series of nut sensors function like a radial inductive proximity switch to sense the presence of a welded nut, in the correct location even through a blind or tapped hole in a sheet metal part. We are industry leaders in the field with our sensors having the widest range for more precise and accurate detection, the sensors are so sensitive that they can also be calibrated to sense the thread presence and quality.
Our Nut Sensors are designed and proven to withstand harsh welding environments. The probe is made in stainless steel and the sensing circuitry are purpose-built to be located as close as possible to the actual welding operation so faulty parts can be detected early in the assembly process. They are also welding splatter proof.
The SNS toughened version of our nut and thread sensors are built for heavy duty and heavy side loading applications, they can withstand collisions and can even be used as gauging or locating pins.
Our range covers M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 nut sizes and it is paired with a remote monitor providing PNP or NPN output signals.
To prevent damage from side loading the sensors can be mounted with a Spring Mount, this allows the probe to retract if forced against a part with no hole and the tip can offset up to a 5 degree angle to locate misaligned holes.
